Angela Marchant, DO
Dr. Angela Marchant (she/her) became a physician to be a healer. Becoming an osteopath healed her. She is honored to witness the wisdom of the body with her patients.
Angela was born and raised in Milwaukee, WI. As a student in Milwaukee Public Schools (Rufus King Represent!) her passion and life-long commitment to social justice began. She earned a bachelor's degree from Brandeis University in Women's and Gender Studies and Public Health and her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from AT Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona. In college she spent a semester studying health and development in Kenya. In her time in Madison prior to medical school, Angela vounteered with Groundwork, a local racial justice collective, and community organizations working for justice in housing, addiction recovery and the prison industrial system. She extended medical school to complete a year-long predoctoral teaching fellowship, expanding her knowledge in Osteopathic Manual Medicine and Anatomy. She completed her internship and residency in Family Medicine at University of Wisconsin Madison. She is board certified in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine.
Since completion of training, Angela has practiced family medicine including obstetrics at a federally qualified health center in Madison, Wisconsin. Her areas of interests in medicine include integrative medicine, breastfeeding medicine, LGBTQ medicine including gender affirming care, addiction medicine and traditional osteopathy, particularly osteopathy for newborns. She is grateful to expand her practice providing osteopathic treatment to a wider range of patients in the four lakes region.
In her free time Angela enjoys spending time with her wife, two young children and dog. She loves exploring (and photographing) remnant prairies, fishing, biking, yoga, gardening and spending time outside with family and friends.
